Day by day overview:

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and be warmly welcomed. A comfortable transfer takes you to your hotel, setting the tone for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Check out from your hotel after breakfast and head to Entebbe airport. Board a domestic flight to Kasese, where an expert guide awaits. Transfer to the contemporary Kyambura Gorge Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks on the veranda, capturing views of the savannah plains and the magnificent Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 3: Safari in Queen Elizabeth

Opt for an early morning or evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains, renowned for lion sightings and herds of Uganda kob. Explore the Mweya peninsula, a hotspot for leopard sightings. Engage in various community projects by the Volcanoes Safaris Partnership Trust (VSPT), offering immersive experiences like Women’s Coffee Cooperative Tour, Reclaimed Wetland Tour, Bee-Keeping Fence Visit, Omumushaka Dance Group Performance, and Empundu Playground Visit.

Day 4: Chimp Tracking & Boat Cruise

Embark on an enchanting chimpanzee tracking adventure in the Kyambura Gorge. In the afternoon, cruise along the Kazinga Channel, witnessing one of Africa's highest concentrations of hippos, elephant herds, and an array of water birds.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Forest

Continue your safari to the ancient Bwindi Forest, potentially observing tree-climbing lions in Ishasha. Arrive at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge, offering views of the towering forest trees. Explore the lodge grounds, visit the local village, or experience the Bwindi bar, a VSPT project offering insights into community life.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking

Embark on an early morning gorilla tracking adventure. Trek through the steep, dense forest hills, culminating in a magical encounter with gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. Alternatively, participate in various activities like guided rainforest walks, village visits, or a tour of the local tea processing operation.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking

Choose to go gorilla tracking again or opt for gentler yet equally rewarding alternatives. Immerse yourself in the rich biodiversity and cultural facets of Bwindi.

Day 8: Departure

Transfer from Bwindi Lodge to the Kihihi airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe. Connect in time for your onward journey, concluding an extraordinary week of exploration and discovery in Uganda.
