Day by day overview:
Days 1-2: Arrival in Uganda
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you'll be greeted and transferred to your accommodation. Take a moment to acclimate before the adventure begins.
Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, depart for Entebbe airport, catching a domestic flight to Kasese. A knowledgeable guide will meet you upon arrival, guiding you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Experience the contemporary Kyambura Gorge Lodge and savor pre-dinner drinks on the veranda overlooking the savannah plains.
Day 4: Safari in Queen Elizabeth
Opt for an early morning or evening game drive to witness the rich wildlife of Kasenyi plains. Explore the Mweya peninsula, known for leopard sightings, or engage in community projects by the Volcanoes Safaris Partnership Trust (VSPT).
Day 5: Chimp Tracking & Boat Cruise
Embark on a fascinating chimp tracking adventure in the Kyambura Gorge. Later, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, offering glimpses of Africa's diverse wildlife.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Forest
Continue your journey to the Bwindi Forest, possibly encountering tree-climbing lions in Ishasha. Arrive at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge, set against the towering trees of the forest.
Day 7: Gorilla Tracking
Experience the awe-inspiring gorilla tracking adventure in the steep, dense hills of Bwindi Forest. Optionally, participate in guided walks, community visits, or explore the local village and tea processing operation.
Day 8: Bwindi to Nairobi
Transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival, be chauffeured to your Nairobi hotel.
Day 9: Nairobi to Masai Mara
After breakfast, depart for Wilson Airport Nairobi. A scenic 50-minute flight takes you to the world-renowned Masai Mara. The Sand River Masai Mara Team welcomes you at Keekorok airstrip, and a game drive en-route transports you to the camp.
Days 10-11: Exploring Masai Mara
Immerse yourself in guided safaris, with the option for morning, afternoon, or full-day drives. Visit an authentic Masai Village to connect with the vibrant culture of this colorful tribe.
Day 12: Departure
Enjoy breakfast in camp, followed by a final game drive en-route to Mara North Airstrip.
